Payment Terms & Methods
Payment terms for hardware, software, maintenance, and shipping require 50% to secure the order and the balance upon shipment.
Payment
terms for rollout/installation services is 50% to secure and schedule the
rollout. The balance of payment is broken out as various rollout milestones
are met. Milestones to be determined when the rollout plan is prepared.
TRAX
offers our customers the ability to pay by: Check, Credit Card (AmEx, Visa,
Mastercard, Discover) and/or wire transfer.
Shipment
Actual
shipping dates are determined based on order quantity and order queue at the
time when the order is placed.
In
most cases orders for quantities of 10 or less ship within 3 business days
after order is secured and location & CRM customization information has
been received.
Shipping
time for orders with larger quantities will be determined at the time the
order is secured.
Installation Services &
Fees
Installation
of the traffic counters is fairly easy and can be self installed. It
requires 4 screws to be installed at the front door to secure the traffic
counter and to run the CAT-3 cable through the ceiling to the computer where
the traffic counting software and/or upboard will be installed. The
remainder of the installation requires loading the software and setting up
the parameters. A normal installation takes about 4 hours, depending on how
challenging the store layout is. Ceiling heights of 10-12 feet with acoustic
ceiling tiles or an open ceiling tend to be much easier. The system comes
with detailed step by step installation instructions as well.
If
you would like to contract out the installation service, TRAX can either
help you find a local installer or you can contract to have a TRAX installer
come on site to set up your system.
TRAX
Installation services are offered at a rate of $575 per location, plus
travel expenses.
Multi-store
installations require a list of store locations (including address) and
Rollout timeframes & requirements prior to actual installation plan
confirmation.
If
customer contracts with TRAX to perform Installation Services, then a
trained TRAX installer will go on site to physically install door counter
hardware and load software on the customer PC.
TRAX
will not setup customer network nor setup PC, unless specifically contracted
to do so.
The
fees for network and/or PC setup will be quoted on a per customer basis,
depending on the environment and any unique conditions.
Travel
Expenses include round trip airfare between Houston, Texas and the desired
location, plus hotel, car rental, and $35/day food per diem.
Where
possible, multiple locations will be installed in a single trip to save on
travel expenses. More exact
travel expenses can be provided upon completion of an installation plan.

Warranty / Return Policy
All
returns must be pre-authorized and are subject to the applicable return
policy.
The
TT Full / TT Lite systems comes with a 30 day return policy.
The
TT/CRM systems come with a 90 day return policy. Our guarantee is that if
each of your sales people are not generating at least $5000 more, per
month, within 90 days, well take the system back.
All
returns are based on initial purchase price, less a 20% restocking fee. In
addition, any hard costs, such as shipping, customization, travel /
installation services and/or expenses will be deducted from the original
purchase price when determining the return value.
The
TT hardware also comes with a 1 year warranty which is covered under the
Support & Maintenance contract. This allows for repair / replacement of
hardware, should a technical problem arise, provided the system was not
damaged due to neglect and/or improper handling/care.
Repair
/ replacement covered under the support / maintenance contract is provided
at no cost, other than shipping expenses.
After
the first year, the customer can renew the annual Support/Maintenance to
extend the hardware warrantee. Fees for Support / Maintenance are listed
under the pricing section.
Traffic Counters
·
The TRAX Traffic Counting devices (TT/TT-30) are triple lens
infrared beam devices which allow the system to know whether the tripped
beam is as a result of inbound or outbound traffic. The system eliminates the
outbound counts and reports data based on all in bound counts.
·
Counters have been tested and proven to be accurate within
2-3% of actual opportunity count.
·
The TRAX system is designed with a delay counter that allows
the system to track opportunities not necessarily each physical person. For
example, if a family of 4 enters, that will be counted by the system as one (1)
buying opportunity versus inflating the traffic count if all 4 were individually
counted. An inflated traffic count, when compared against the number of sales
could result in lowered conversion rates, since quite often there is a single
sales which includes items for various members of the family. If desired the 4
second delay can be removed so that each individual person is counted. In a
retail
·
We recognize that often times there is a certain amount of
non-customer traffic (i.e. the mail man, UPS, employees, etc) that come in/out
daily, therefore TRAX also provides a mailman factor which will allow the stores
to eliminate a pre-determined # of counts automatically from each hourly count
to account for this non-customer activity.
·
The traffic counters are also equipped with battery back up
which can store data up to 7 days in the event of a power failure.
·
The traffic counters also have a door chime that you can
switch on/off. The chime sounds only when someone enters, not when they leave.
Software
·
Full Traffic Counting software provides access to hourly
traffic counts, staffing analysis, revenue per opportunity, closing/conversion
ratios and weekly traffic counts whereas TT Lite Traffic Counting software
provides access to hourly traffic only.
·
Customer Relationship Management & Sales Force Automation
provides the automated upboard, and all management & customer follow up
tools.
·
The TRAX system offers the ability to view the data based on
multiple views, hourly, daily, weekly and/or user determined start/end dates.
·
TRAX offers LAN/WAN/GLOBAL and WEB Networking software which
enables stores to access information from multiple computers, at corporate
and/or via the WEB. See
additional Networking Technical requirements below
General Technical Requirements
·
Requires a PC
with WIN2000 or better to load the software and an available printer for report
printing.
· Door Counters are mounted 60 from the floor. They connect to the MUX/PC via a CAT-3 cable (included in kit). No power supply required at entrance, as power is carried via the CAT-3 cable from the multiplexer, which is located near the PC.
·
The multiplexer
requires power and also attaches to the PC via a 9-pin Serial Port, therefore PC
must have an available 9-pin SERIAL Port and a nearby electrical outlet.
If there is no Serial Port available, then it may be necessary to use a
USB or an Ethernet port.
o
Please call
for further technical requirements & pricing for USB or Ethernet.
·
PC where software
will be loaded must be placed within 125 of the front door.
o
If this is not
possible, a technical call between TRAX and the customer will be required to
determine additional technical requirements and/or costs.
·
The CRM/SFA
Upboard module is designed to be run from a single machine, therefore the
CRM/SFA software requires a dedicated PC for the Upboard module.
·
With the
exception of managing the CRM/SFA Upboard, all other information, such as
traffic counts, customer data base, follow up tools, and/or management tools,
can be accessible from a separate computer that resides on the same network as
the TRAX computer, provided the TRAX networking software has been implemented.
·
TRAX recommends
that there at least one or more additional work stations on the LAN where sales
people can enter and/or access TRAX information, in order to get optimum
benefits from the system.
·
For CRM/SFA
customers, TRAX also recommends that you network to the person who answers the
phone so that they can see the salesperson upboard and quickly determine who is
with a customer and who is available to take calls.
·
In cases where
there are multiple showrooms on a given property, the implementation of TRAX
will likely require a separate Upboard for each showroom. In addition, in cases
where there are multiple entrances that are not convenient to the main Upboard
PC, then again, an additional Upboard will likely be required.
·
Networking
Software provides the connectivity tools for LAN/WAN/GLOBAL and WEB Access. This
software is included when the CRM/SFA software is purchased. TT only users would
need to purchase this module separately. See
Networking Software Technical Requirements below.
Networking Technical Requirements LAN/WAN/GLOBAL/WEB
·
The Networking
Software requires that the PC be already setup with an established PC network.
·
The LAN
networking feature provides access to CRM and traffic counting information on
more than one computer in the given location.

corporate location, based on nightly updates.
o
Requires an
established PC network between corporate and the store(s) and the ability to
access shared file folders on a mapped drive.
o
If the store
network is other than a PC network (i.e. Citrix), please call TRAX for
additional technical advice. In
some cases, additional costs may be incurred.
·
The WEB Access networking feature provides access to CRM and
traffic counting information for all stores on the WEB. Data is uploaded from
each store based on a daily schedule that is determined by the customer during
initial system setup.
o
Stores can also manually upload data on demand, if necessary.
o
Based on user ID/password, corporate and/or designated people
will have access to view the information for all stores or individual stores or
by city or state.
o
